Playground at Sandestin

Kids on the Go at Sandestin

The planks of Sandestin’s Baytowne Marina Boardwalk will carry you over wetlands to the stoop of Captain Joe Lee’s Treehouse, the ultimate treehouse.

After a family picnic on the five-acre Jolee Island, hit the pirate ship playground for a swashbuckling time.

Explore Sandestin up close and trek miles of beautiful paths on bicycles for the whole family. There are even small bikes for tykes with training wheels.

Vacation is the perfect time to test the waters, and step out for an adventure. Check out a golf or tennis learning vacation.

Sandestin Play Areas for Kids

The Village of Baytowne Wharf – Adventure Landing
A community inspired building program to envision, design and build a playground beyond your child's wildest dreams has been completed at The Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin. Adventure landing features swings that reach the clouds, winding paths and mazes that lead to unknown places, bridges and slides with water to splash in - all encompassed in one place your kids can't wait to visit.

Jolee Island Nature Park
Plan a picnic or cookout with family and friends on beautiful Jolee Island. This five-acre nature park is lush with Florida scrub and pine. Just a hop-skip-and-a-jump from the Baytowne Marina, enter by strolling along a wooden footbridge over a scenic salt marsh. A mile-long perimeter trail is dotted with weather-beaten, double-wide porch swings, where you can sit and watch the waters of Horseshoe Bayou lap up against the shore or catch an amazing sunset over Choctawhatchee Bay.

Kids enjoy the pirate ship-shaped playground and look-out tower overlooking Jolee Island's pines and magnolias, while parents stroll the perimeter and relax on an occasional porch swing.

Gordon Davidson Nature Trail
Check out the Gordon Davidson Nature Trail, the cool fort-style playground tucked away across from Jolee Island. Learn about plants and animals, then swing to the sky and take over the fort all nestled under a canopy of trees.
