Director of Pet Services at Sandestin
Sandy
Meet Sandy, the Director of Pet Services at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Named after the iconic white sands of the Gulf of Mexico, Sandy, a Toy American Eskimo, embodies the welcoming spirit of our resort. Her presence is a fluffy reminder that Sandestin is a haven for guests and their pets alike.
About Sandy
With a love for Zuke's trainer bits, chicken jerky, and playful fetch sessions with her basketballs, Sandy enriches every guest’s experience. She eagerly awaits her family's return each day and spends afternoons watching the world from her favorite spot. She loves a good road trip and exploring new pet-friendly accommodations!
Advocate for Animal Welfare and Pet Inclusivity
Sandy champions the "Adopt, not shop" initiative, advocating for the adoption of rescue animals. Her efforts support Alaqua Animal Refuge, and we help by selling plush toys in Sandy's likeness. These plush toys are available at multiple locations across the resort including the Sandestin Welcome Center, Hotel Effie’s front desk, Sweetbay Coffee in Hotel Effie, Spa Lilliana at Hotel Effie, and Sandestin Spirits.
Importantly, Sandy also serves as a furry ambassador for our pet-friendly policies. Here at Sandestin, we welcome dogs of all sizes and breeds—there’s no discrimination, just a big-hearted welcome for every canine. Whether they’re tiny like Sandy or have a larger paw print, all dogs are invited to enjoy our amenities.
Supporting Alaqua Animal Refuge
Our partnership with Alaqua Animal Refuge, through the sales of Sandy plush toys, emphasizes our commitment to the welfare of animals in need. This initiative highlights our mission to provide loving homes for pets and promotes our belief in compassionate community engagement.
As the face of our pet services, Sandy ensures that Sandestin is not only a getaway for humans but a paradise for pets too. Her advocacy and infectious charm make her an integral part of the Sandestin family, encouraging a more pet-inclusive experience and deeper community ties.
